Cuttin Crafts Workspace

Hello,

Thank you so much for joining my new blog. There is no better way to kick things off by showing you my new workspace. I have been planning this for 5 years now. And I am finally ready to show you my workspace. I have had lots of questions about my cubes. I will share the names of each cube and link the products so you can read about it in more detail and see if it's right for you.

I make handmade cards by stamping and die cutting and I also create vinyl decal gifts in this space. So having my supplies organized and open is very important to me. If it's out of sight, I may tend to forget what I have. It's also important for me to keep it open because I also have an ETSY store and I needed a way to view my supplies. If it's hidden like I did with my china cabinet and can't see it, I will either forget I have it and order more OR not realize I'm out of a color or supply.

This first photo is just an overview of my workspace. I do not have a spare bedroom or dining room. But I did use what used to be the eating area to create this space. It now consists of 2 desks and a wall full of modular cubes. On my wall has 2 shelves that is 24 inches long each.

I get a lot of questions about my desk!! I actually have two craft tables. They each have one Modular Table Top by Simply Tide. They are 60 inches long and 16 inches wide. You do have the option to customize below the table top. But I chose to go with how the picture showed me. A Modular Mobile Panel Tower. It comes with 2 permanent shelves and 3 adjustable panel shelves. You do have the option to buy extra panel shelves (each pack comes with a set of 5 panels) if you want to store card stock or vinyl sheets in this tower. I opted to add extra panel shelves for the vinyl sheets I have on hand. And on the other left them out to store my clear iris containers. On the other side of my table is mobile chest (these come with wheels but I left them off) and a half cube.

My other table consists of the elements as my first table. Only thing I did differently is add 2 panel cubes. I store a variety of cutting mats and crafty tools in it.  They are each 16x16x16 sized cubes. The tower on the far right is a retired tower from Michaels. I'm using that for extra paper such as water coloring paper, white card stock, and pattern paper.

I created my wall of cubes this way so I can fit more crafting machines on top. Kind of like an extra shelf or crafting table. Ma They consist of 12 Modular Panel Cubes,  4 Half Cubes, 4 Modular Mobile Chests, one Cube with Shelf, and 5 Storage Drawers (I need to add one more storage drawer). For the first 8 modular cubes, I left the panel shelves out. What I found is that it fits my large rolls of vinyl and I can also see on top to search for a color I need. For the bottom left cube, I left the panels in for extra mat storage. This may change as I expand my supplies at some point. And the other 3 that are in the middle (in between the half cubes and chests), I left the panels in those so I can store my card stock. I do plan on making decals for each drawer so I will remember what is in them. But I keep different foils, embellishments for my cards, adhesives, and many other fun craft supplies.

Each storage drawer comes with a divider that you can slide in (or out if you want to leave it out) and it also comes with compartments that you can slide it. You could use this option to store markers or pens. But I chose to leave those out so I can store my stamps and dies in these drawers, Each section of the drawers has their own stamp company (including the dies). This is how I function. If I am participating in a card challenge, I like to have all products grouped together by company to make sure I use those products per their rules.

On my wall above my cubes are 2 shelves I bought from Lowes Shelves. One shelf holds all my glitter and the other one holds my Stampin' Up stamps and We R Memory Keeper Quill collection (for now).

Finally my carts. I honestly was going to sell these couple weeks ago. But I decided to keep them. One is a Recollection 10 Drawer Rolling Cart for my markers and water coloring paints. The other clear drawer is a retired piece from JoAnns (I can't find it online). But this holds all my ink pads for stamping. And I also have a Essex Rolling Cart. I use that cart to store all my shipping supplies for my ETSY store.

There you have it. This is my workspace. I hope you enjoyed a little tour of my craft space and you found it helpful of where I got all my storage furniture. Next thing for me to do with my space is to create vinyl decals to label the drawers in my space and create a wall decal to apply between my shelves on the wall. Be sure to subscribe to my blog to stay updated on crafty ideas and potential sales if you are interested in any of the products mentioned in my blog post.
