This week I am participating in the Summer School Series with My Favorite Things Stamps. Day 1 was all about visual triangle. The video showed how to create an invisible triangle with stamp images that is pleasing to the eye.
This morning, I decided to start the day off by making a card. To be honest, I was going to create a card for this week's sketch challenge. But after I adhered the jewels on my card, I saw that I made it into a triangle. And felt I should upload this card into the Visual Triangle lesson challenge instead.
Stamp set I am using on this card is a retired set called "Green Pastures."I am also using Gumdrop Green cardstock and green plaid pattern paper from Buffalo Brights Paper Pad.
I started out cutting a sheet of Gumdrop Green in half (8.5 x 5.5) and folded this into a 4.25 x 5.5 inch note card. I then cut the green plaid pattern paper with the retired rectangle stax die from My Favorite Things and adhered it with some clear double sided tape. I stamped the greeting with Gina K Black Onyx ink. Adhered my stamped image with foam squares to give it some dimension.
I honestly thought it was done after I adhered the girl on my card. But felt there was something missing from my card. I went to my embellishment drawer and pulled 3 jewels I had on hand from a Simon Says Stamp kit from last year and felt this would look very nice. I glued these down with On-Point Precision Glue. It was at this point I realized I followed the visual triangle lesson with the jewels.
